By an indenture dated November 6, 1815, Wolfgang conveyed his improvement right to Arthur Rogers, after which the Commonwealth formally perfected Rogers’s ownership through this patent.

Genealogical accounts identify an Arthur Rogers as the husband of Susanna Wolfgang, suggesting that this was a transfer within the Wolfgang family. The manuscript therefore provides both an official land record and an important piece of early Schuylkill County family history.

The property is described by a complete metes-and-bounds survey, naming neighboring landowners and establishing its location in Upper Mahantango Township.
