Roosevelt”\u003c\/strong\u003e at lower right and countersigned by the Counsel to the Governor, apparently \u003cstrong\u003eEdward G. Griffin\u003c\/strong\u003e. The large embossed gold Privy Seal of the State of New York remains affixed at lower left.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"auto\"\u003eRoosevelt had been inaugurated governor on January 1, 1929, making this a fascinating artifact from the opening days of the political administration that placed him on the road to the White House.
